PPF Care & Maintenance: Keep Film Looking New
Follow these simple steps to keep your Paint Protection Film clean, glossy, and self-healing for years.
First 7 days after install
- Avoid washing or pressure washing
- Let edges settle; minor hazing will clear
- Park indoors when possible
Washing and drying
- Use pH-neutral soap and soft wash mitts
- Rinse thoroughly; dry with clean microfiber or air
- Avoid harsh APCs on film seams
Bug, tar, and water spots
- Use film-safe bug/tar removers and rinse promptly
- For water spots, try a mild vinegar solution then rinse
- Do not scrub aggressively; heat helps self-heal light marks
What to avoid
- Polishing with abrasives on film
- High heat or steam on edges
- Strong solvents or petroleum-based cleaners
